Pembrokeshire Thatch and Carpentry Services. Environmentally Sound Builing Practices in Wales and the UK.

Pembrokeshire Thatch and Carpentry Services is
dedicated to promoting the use of environmentally
sound building practices.

We have been trading for some twenty five years, using where possible local
renewable resources and skills.

We have also been tending conservation areas of water reed in West Wales
for the past twenty years and using the reed for local eco-build projects and
also during its first buliding stage 'The Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort.'

The area on the North bank of the River Nevern just outside of Newport,
Pembrokeshire is rich in an abundance of wild life and provides sanctuary for
many nesting birds. Without regular management the reed beds would deteriate
rapidly and no longer be suitable for nesting sites and hiding places for its fauna.

Our thanks go out to The West Wales Eco-Centre in Newport and also to all the
volunteers that attend the annual clean up and reed cut during January/February.

Our Aims - A sustainable future for us and our planet.
